長春軌道交通9號線一期工程建成後將與長春軌道交通2號東延線接駁,成為連接機場與主城區的重要通道,有用串聯起長春市區、蓮花山生態旅遊度假區、長春新區與九台區,對推進長春市東部城區開展、緩解客流壓力具有重要意義。
